In October, Google rolled out a spam and core update, causing fluctuations in the search results of various websites. In 2024, Chrome and other browsers have begun phasing out third-party cookies in order to better protect user privacy. Drive will now allow downloads without third-party cookies embedded on external websites. This is a separate feature from downloading files directly from Drive.
